Lenticular
A long time has passed since the advent of Lenticular
freebies in your cornflake box, the classic winking lady and
the two phase animation. Lenticular photographic technology
is considered on a par with high end photography nowadays and
some amazing effects and results can be achieved with careful
planning and the right tools.
Lenticular Photography: We have developed our
own system to capture ‘True 3D’ images images of
products, people and just about any object you can think of.
The Mitton LR1 linear
rail system is very portable and therefore allows us to get
into any small space to take beautiful 3D images directly from
the chosen subject. We have refined the process to an art form,
developing our own software and post processing methods, so
once the basic image is captured we can manipulate the frames
adding text, colour effects and just about any graphical image
you can think of. All this adds up to a speedy process which
means we can pass on the financial benefits to you, with real
results in hours, ready for you to view online or have lenticular
samples sent out the same day.
2D to 3D Conversions: If you need a 2D image
converting to 3D, then that’s a snip too. Rather than
using software to generate a 3D effect that can look like flat
plains in space, like a pantomime set, we use traditional techniques
with the human eye and hand, giving roundness to objects that
should look round, and depth where you expect depth. It is the
closest we have got to ‘Real 3D’ and pride ourselves
on the quality of this output. We can usually convert a 2D image
to 3D in 24 to 48 hours dependant on complexity
Flips and animations are the mainstay of lenticular
techniques, giving flipping animations from one image to another,
or fully fledged animations taken from video or a series of
graphical frames. The sky is the limit with these techniques,
however there are some ground rules, and it is well advised
you contact us before producing any work.
Lenticulars can be printed front and back, be die cut and most
of the techniques applied to standard print can be applied to
lenticulars.
